Grade 6 Arts Education
The Grade 6 AE classes are exploring Pop Art and the artist James Rizzi.
Students are trying their hand at personifying buildings and water colour painting using complementary & triad colour schemes.

Learning how to sew is not easy...but really fun once you figure out how it all works!
Grade 6 PA does some basic sewing of squares and rectangles, top stitching and hand sewing to close the blanket opening.

Grade 7 Arts Ed - Totem Poles
As part of our study of the Canadian Group of Seven Artists, we looked specifically at Emily Carr and her fascination with the totem poles she found in the villages of British Columbia.

New PA term coming up!
For the Grade 6's moving into Home Ec. and sewing in term 2, here is your supply list:
2.5 meters flannel or flannelette fabric, 250 meters matching thread (Coats or Gutermann) and one box of extra long pins with beads.
Good places to shop are Northwest Fabrics on Berry St. or Fabricland with a 10% student discount.
